8.1 Introduction
In the simulation environment to test a new protocol for an ad hoc
network, a mobility model needs to be used for representing the move-
ments of the mobile nodes (mobile nodes) that will properly utilize
the given protocol. ese models play a vital role in determining the
protocol performance in MANET. Hence, it is essential to study and
analyze the effects of various mobility models on the performance of
the MANET protocols. Using a mobility model we try to mimic the
