Chapter 16. Configuring the System Setup

Your system requires certain configuration and monitoring that isn't part of any application or the hardware, but part of the operating system itself. This chapter discusses three requirements that you'll always perform at the command line because there isn't any other way to perform these tasks. In fact, you'll probably use the information from this chapter even when working with the graphical version of Windows Server 2008. For example, you don't have any graphical means of changing the boot configuration in Windows Server 2008, you must use the BCDEdit utility.
