Chapter 20. Managing System Users

When a user occupies a single machine, security isn't much of a problem because the user can't go anywhere. However, when the user starts working with network resources, problems can occur because now the activity isn't restricted to the local machine. Anything the user does on the server can have dire consequences. When multiple users interact on multiple machines with shared resources, the problems of any kind of a security glitch mount exponentially.
