Le Binh earned the degrees of BE (Hons) and PhD in electronic engineering and integrated photonics in 1975 and 1978, respectively, both from the University of Western Australia. He is currently working with Huawei Technologies European Research Centre as technical director in Munich, Germany.
He has authored and co-authored more than 300 papers in leading journals and eight books (besides refereeing conferences) in the fields of photonic signal processing, digital optical communications, and integrated optics, all published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group of Boca Raton, Florida, USA (www.crcpress.com).
