Note that we have described the organizational and leadership aspects of AI-focused organizations before any significant mention of technology. The human aspects of AI are the most differentiating and critical, and often the most challenging. However, a company doesn’t accomplish great things in AI without making extensive use of AI technologies, and virtually nothing can be done without substantial amounts of data. That’s true of every all-in on AI company we have identified, and we’ll describe their technology environments in this chapter.
