CHAPTER 5 Capabilities

The old management cliché about any type of major business change—“X is a journey”—applies to AI-enabled business transformations. No company adopts AI extensively and deeply at once. It takes experimentation, development of capability over time, fits and starts, mistakes and setbacks, and all the other attributes of any major change within an organization. What matters is how companies build sustainable AI capabilities over time.
