CHAPTER 6

OTHER SIGNIFICANT STANDARDS

This chapter brings in a series of other standards whose subject matter did not seem to fit naturally into the income statement or statement of financial position approach. The subjects dealt with are first time adoption, related party transactions, segment reporting, concessions, events after the reporting date and insurance.

This chapter looks at a number of standards that potentially need to be considered by any company using IFRS, but that do not fit obviously into the balance sheet or income statement chapters above. The subjects that you will find in this chapter are first time adoption, related party transactions, segment reporting and concessions.
