Este apéndice resume brevemente los cambios realizados en versiones recientes de Python, organizados por las ediciones del libro en las que aparecieron por primera vez, y ofrece enlaces a su cobertura en este libro. Está pensado como referencia tanto para los lectores de ediciones anteriores como para los desarrolladores que migran desde versiones anteriores de Python.
He aquí cómo se relacionan los cambios en Python con las ediciones recientes de este libro:
Esta quinta edición de 2013 cubre Python 3.3 y 2.7.
La cuarta edición de 2009 cubría Python 2.6 y 3.0 (con algunas características de la 3.1).
La tercera edición de 2007 cubría Python 2.5.
La primera y segundaediciones de 1999 y 2003 cubrían los Python 2.0 y 2.2.
El predecesor de este libro, Programming Python de 1996, cubría Python 1.3.
Por lo tanto, para ver los cambios realizados sólo en esta quintaedición, consulta los cambios de Python 2.7, 3.2 y 3.3 que aparecen más adelante.
