In Chapter 16, we used tried and true methods for reading, characterizing, and sorting file metadata. We first open a directory and then read the files and directories inside the directory, until fileread returns NULL. This metadata extraction and decoding comprised the files fileInfo.asm, fileSize.asm, and fileTime.asm.
