I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Appendix A: Installing the Software
We’re going to install gcc, gdb, make, git, and valgrind. On my openSUSE distro, I issued the command
$ sudo zypper install gcc gdb make git valgrind
On Ubuntu or similar distros you can issue the command
$ sudo apt install gcc gdb make git valgrind
I like the convenience of Microsoft Visual Studio Code’s integration with git, but you can use any simple text editor that you like. Word processing editors like Microsoft Word or Libre Office Writer are not appropriate for writing source code. Simple text editors or programming editors are the tools that you’ll need.
