Web application fingerprinter

Web application fingerprinter is a tool to identify the web application used in a website. There are a lot of web application fingerprinters available, but we will only discuss two of them: whatweb and blindelephant.

WhatWeb

WhatWeb is a web application fingerprinter. It will identify Content Management Systems (CMS), blogging platforms, stats/analytics packages, JavaScript libraries, servers, and other web application components used in a website.
