Chapter 6. Analysis with an Agile Mindset

Introduction

Chapters 1 through 5 described some important concepts that underlie analysis with an agile mindset. This chapter is intended to describe a typical approach to analysis on IT projects where teams exhibit an agile mindset. It provides a framework that’s used to tell the case study stories in Chapters 7 through 10. It also places into context most of the techniques described in Chapters 11 through 15. This approach to analysis happens in four steps, illustrated in Figure 6.1:

1. What is the need?

2. What are some possible solutions?

3. What should we do next?

4. What are the details of this part?
