9.5 Results and Discussion

This solution is proposed to address resource limitations that characterize the physical firewall

and represent a bottleneck. Our main goal is to improve fluidity of the traffic. In Figure 9.9,

the y-axis represents the network latency (RTT: round-trip time delay) in milliseconds and the

x-axis represents the percentage of bandwidth saturation. We vary the number of VF instances

in 2 and 3 to see if it is impacting the solution performance.
