Chapter 5. The Intercom Profile

Introduction

In a continuation from the Cordless Telephony Profile, Chapter 4, the The Intercom Profile provides the usage model, where two terminals (TLs) may communicate with one another, fulfilling a direct communication link. This new usage model accommodates general wireless telephony, enabling Bluetooth solutions within the home or office environment. Bluetooth-enabled cordless handsets and multimedia PCs are all capable of supporting intercom functionality.
