It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Traditional CNC machines are expensive, complicated, and typically only found in large manufacturing companies that can afford them... because, well, did we mention that they are expensive? (Small hobbyist CNC machines can run anywhere from $7000 and higher; professional machines can cost millions of dollars!)
