I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Monitoring with Icinga 2
Once the application is deployed to the production environment, we will need a way to constantly monitor the application's status, for example, by checking those Actuator's endpoints. When there is an outage or the system is in a critical status, for example, if the server is overloaded, we need a way to get notified.
Icinga 2 is a great fit for this purpose. It is an open source monitoring system. It uses monitoring plugins to check various services' statuses and generates performance data for reporting.
