When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Good processes and useful tools can improve the team's productivity. There is no doubt about that. And that's why there are many best practice, and people keep inventing new tools. However, if the members of a team follow processes or best practices blindly, or a tool that works so great in a previous project is not appropriate in the current project, these processes and tools would become counter-productive. It is always important to remember that it is the people on the team that move the project forward. Instead of relying on processes and tools, we should get to know each other's thoughts better, as a team, and utilize a team's collective intelligence. In Agile, practices such as daily ...
