The Authors
Craig E. Runde, director of new program development at the Eckerd College Leadership Development Institute (LDI), oversees training and development on the Conflict Dynamics Profile assessment instrument. He is the coauthor of Becoming a Conflict Competent Leader (Jossey-Bass, 2007) and is a frequent speaker and commentator on workplace conflict issues. Before joining LDI, he was the director of the International Center for Computer Enhanced Learning at Wake Forest University. He received his B.A. from Harvard University, M.L.L. from the University of Denver, and J.D. from Duke University. He has practiced law in Colorado and has taught at the University of Minnesota Law School and Wake Forest University.
Tim A. Flanagan, director of custom programs for LDI, earned his M.A. at the Ohio State University and worked in higher education for eight years before entering the human resource development field in 1985. His experience includes leading the senior leadership development programs at the Harris Corporation; managing consulting services for Development Dimensions International; building the training program at AAA, Tampa; and guiding the custom development of discovery learning programs at Paradigm Learning. He is a frequent presenter at professional conferences and has consulted with scores of leading national and international firms. He is the coauthor of Becoming a Conflict Competent Leader (Jossey-Bass, 2007).
