CodeCeption introduction
CodeCeption is written in PHP and it is powered by PHPUnit. CodeCeption claims that CodeCeption uses PHPUnit as a backend for running its tests. Thus, any PHPUnit test can be added to a CodeCeption test suite and then executed.
Tests other than acceptance tests require a testing framework that has some insight or connection with code under the test. If we are using a development framework than a testing framework should has some sort of module or plugin for that framework. CodeCeption is good at this.
