I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What exactly Lumen provides
You are probably thinking that this is the difference between Lumen and Laravel, but what exactly does Lumen provide us so we can build API? We will look into it, but not in detail, because Lumen documentation at https://lumen.laravel.com/docs/5.4 serves this purpose. What is not covered in the documentation is how we can make a RESTful web service using Lumen, and what packages we can utilize to make our work and life easier. We will look into this.
First, we will discuss what comes with Lumen, so that we understand its different components and working.
