I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Composer for creating a project
We can also use Composer to create a new project from an existing package. This is equivalent to performing two steps:
- Cloning a repository
- Running composer install in that
That means it will clone a project and install its dependencies. It can be done with the following command:
composer create-project <package name> <path on file system> <version info>
It is very useful if we want to start a project from a code base. Note, the path on the filesystem and version number is not required, but optional.
