I have come to the conclusion that most companies listed on the sharemarket are rubbish — they just have good periods. If you trawl through the sharemarket tables in any of the metropolitan daily newspapers it will feel like you are walking through a graveyard of dead bodies. Most of the companies listed promised the world at some stage or another. They sprang to life with great expectations, only to collapse as disappointment set in.
