26. Playing Music in Windows

Your personal computer is a full-featured digital music machine. You can use your PC to play music from CDs, create your own digital music library, and download music from the Internet. You can even make your own audio “mix” CDs from the music stored on your computer, which you can then play in your home or car.

There are actually several different ways to do all this, depending on which apps you choose to use. This chapter tells you how to listen to music using Windows 8’s Music app—which is probably the easiest way to enjoy the music you love.
