Dr. Douglass Post was the Chief Scientist of the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program from 2005 to 2014 and was a Principal Researcher at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute from 2016 to 2020. His major professional interest for almost 50 years has been the development and application of physics-based software to solve basic and applied atomic, molecular, plasma and controlled fusion physics problems, as well as physics and engineering design problems.
