I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 4 Cyberviolence
Introduction
Violence has historically been understood as a behavior using physical force to harm someone. As such, violent crimes are those crimes in which a perpetrator uses or threatens to use violence against a victim. Murder, rape, robbery, assault, kidnapping, and torture are all types of violent crimes. This chapter will explore the phenomena of cyberviolence. Wall (2001) defines cyberviolence as:
…the violent impact of the cyberactivities of another upon an individual or social grouping. Whilst such activities do not have to have a direct physical manifestation, the victim nevertheless feels the violence of the act and can bear long-term psychological scars as a consequence.
