Brian and I attended a presentation on how to get business prospects and convert them into sales. The presenters kept confusing the audience with unfamiliar or complicated terminology, apparently in an attempt to be viewed as knowledgeable. For instance, they used the term trip wire without defining it. They gave us a seven-step system, but I got stuck on step 2 because I was trying to figure out what it meant. What could have been a magnificent presentation quickly turned mediocre.
