I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

It takes a special kind of person to really LIKE data governance. After all, this discipline exists at the epicenter of data-related conflict. Day after day, we see how seemingly small actions and decisions create data-related problems that ripple out through an organization, creating bigger problems in reports and other information products, which create even bigger problems in the form of bad decisions, inefficiencies, ineffective practices, noncompliance with laws and regulations, and even security breaches.
