Any significant endeavor, done well, is never done alone. What made this journey of discovery and creativity a reality was the support and coaching of many people. Before we acknowledge these individuals who personally impacted each of us, we would like to express our thanks, gratitude, and appreciation to a select group of folks who played a role in shaping this book. We want to start with Josie Cox, a journalist, editor, and broadcaster who acted as a sounding board at the inception of this book. She was there in the early days listening to our stream of consciousness that led to the early chapters. We are grateful to Josie for keeping us aligned in the messy, early creative days while ensuring each of our ideas were amplified. She not only served as our first editor but has turned into a friend. We also want to thank Karen Vrotsos, an editor who sharpened our thinking and ensured our message was clear, persuasive, and engaging.
Writing a book is a major undertaking. The blank page is both daunting and exciting as it represents possibilities. We decided to ease the challenge by having three authors. Three voices needed to weave into one. A range of ideas had to harmonize.
