Laws That Can Nail Embedded Engineers

This chapter outlines concerns of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and how it can be applied to the embedded engineer. It also discusses various criminal statutes which can be applied to the embedded engineer’s activities. Moreover, the chapter addresses civil liability that can be charged to the engineer in the form of negligence or products liability and further addresses the way the engineer can protect himself from liability such as employing the use of indemnification agreements.
