I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

I must admit, when I was rst asked to write the foreword for this book I was deeply hon-
ored. However, a glimpse at the list of authors quickly replaced most of the feeling of honor
with intimidation, cold sweat, and involuntary shaking. Do not get me wrong, I have been
working with multidimensional databases and technologies for 15 years now, doing every-
thing from implementing solutions to innovating new products, but writing a foreword
to an Essbase book by 12 hard-core Essbase professionals that are either acknowledged
Essbase gurus or certied Oracle ACEs? I’m probably in over my head this time.
