So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
APPENDIX
1 Exercise scripts
When I was producing the drama element of the film direction courses at BBC Television Training it became quickly evident that there was a shortage of interesting scripts that could be sensibly attempted with only half a day’s rehearsal and one short day’s filming. I decided the best recourse was to write some myself.
I include ten such scripts in this final section which the student film maker’ is free to use for non-broadcast exercise purposes. None of the scripts are without their various technical demands and they are arranged in ascending order of dramatic and cinematic difficulty.
