So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This chapter presents a case study of the Sheffield Karen community’s experience of surveillance and cyber conflict. It outlines how “local” conflicts can be manifested at great distances, targeting social media and phone hacking. In this case, a local conflict originated in a completely different locality.
