TEACHING TO LEARN: LEARNING BY TEACHING OTHERS

WHAT IS IT?

“To teach is to learn,” or so goes the old Japanese proverb. And if you want to help your employees develop quickly, give them an opportunity to teach others. It could involve taking a role of co-presenter or co-trainer at one of your onsite training programs, or it could be helping employees find an opportunity to design, develop, and present a short workshop to their colleagues. One of the best ways to leverage this idea is by structuring a brown-bag or lunchtime training series run for and by employees.
