Part V Direct current
Part V provides an introduction to direct current and circuit theorems. In Chapter 21 we introduce direct current electricity and the fundamental nature of electric current, potential difference (voltage) and opposition to current flow (resistance). We also compare electric and magnetic circuits, showing that magnetic flux is analogous to electric current, magnetomotive force is analogous to electromotive force and reluctance of a magnetic circuit is analogous to resistance in an electric circuit.
