Part VII Alternating current

Part VII is dedicated to circuits in which current flows alternately one way and then the other. These alternating current circuits are used widely for a.c. power distribution, amplifiers, filters and other analogue electronic applications. Chapter 25 begins by explaining fundamental terms and concepts such as waveforms, frequency and periodic time. It also explains how alternating voltage and current is measured and quantified. The chapter also explains the important concepts of reactance (both capacitive and inductive) and impedance.
