Administered objects, first discussed in Chapter 2, “Java Message Service,” contain provider-specific information that allows the JMS client to access the services of the JMS provider. Defined by the ConnectionFactory and Destination objects, administered objects provide the glue that binds the JMS client to the provider's environment. In this chapter, we focus on the administered objects associated with two IBM JMS providers: the WebSphere JMS Provider and the WebSphere MQ JMS Provider.
