Summary

In this book we brought together a lot of existing ideas and introduced some new ones.

In Part 1, we introduced the theory of archetype patterns that enabled us to construct the detailed patterns in Part 3. We also considered how to automate the use of these patterns by using MDA modeling tools.

In Part 2 we looked at how to increase the value of UML models by making them accessible to a wider audience through literate modeling. This part also explained how we documented the archetype patterns in Part 3 and how you can document your own UML models and patterns.

In Part 3 we presented a valuable pattern catalog. We hope that these patterns will prove to be very useful to you and that they will save you a lot of time and effort.
