Intended Audience

This appendix is not meant as a full-fledged tutorial on XML or even the XML syntax. Rather, it is intended as a complement to Chapter 5 for those people who've never worked with XML before and want to have at least a firm understanding of the basics of XML and its syntax in order to get the most out of Chapter 5's material.
