Creating an SSIS Package from Scratch
In this chapter, we'll work either from scratch or from the samples available with SQL Server. As with designing your first cube, developing SSIS packages requires that you use BIDS to create a new project.

To get started, in BIDS, select a project of type Business Intelligence Projects via File 
New Project and then a template of Integration Services Project. Leave your project name as Integration Services Project1, pick a directory location, and then click OK to create the project. ...
