Savor Your Meaningful Moments in Life

 

What I am beginning to learn at the age 53 is how to live in the moment—how to pause . . . look about. . . as I walk to the bank, drive my beautiful children to school, even as I put out the garbage in the fresh early hours of the morning. I think about the incredible natural and spiritual beauty that surrounds me. I look, I feel, I appreciate, and I'm thankful.

I started writing this chapter in my head in December 1981. I resumed writing it nearly 20 years later, in September 2001, as my wife (at the time), Pat, and I were driving to Pittsburgh to attend the wedding of my friends Becky and Nick.
