Wrapping Up
In this chapter we looked at the basics of Clojure. We saw what the language looks like, and we’ve printed some strings, done some arithmetic, and defined some functions. We also had a quick look at setting up a new project with Leiningen. Along the way we ran into the Clojure rule about defining functions before we use them and learned a bit about formatting Clojure code and dealing with those pervasive parentheses.
As we continue our tour of Clojure we’re going to return to the topics we only managed to touch on in this chapter. For example, Chapter 5, More Capable Functions, and Chapter 6, Functional Things, are devoted to getting more out of your functions, while Chapter 8, Def, Symbols, and Vars, will look into the mechanism ...
