When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
VPC networks and subnets
The term VPC is used in AWS to refer to the networking layer for EC2 Cloud Virtual Machines, and AWS VPC networks are regional. This implies that in AWS, if you have VMs in different regions, for example, one in the US and the other in the UK, they would have to be in different VPCs.
In the Google Cloud world, on the other hand, resources on the same VPC can reside absolutely anywhere; two GCE VMs could be in different continents, while still residing in the same VPC. How is this possible? Well, clearly under the hood there is an internal routing mechanism that is hidden from the user and that makes this possible. ...
