So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Author
Samuel Dergel is an executive search consultant and executive coach who focuses on the office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He works with Stanton Chase International, an executive search firm serving companies worldwide from more than 70 offices. Dergel started his career with Ernst & Young and went on to financial leadership roles in the manufacturing and technology sectors before joining the world of executive search in 2002. He joined Stanton Chase in 2012.
Dergel is an active Certified Public Accountant (Maine, since 1996), active Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant (Quebec, since 1995), and a Certified Personnel Consultant (since 2010). He received his Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy in 1994 and his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance in 1992, both from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Dergel is an active blogger and social media leader on the topic of the Chief Financial Officer. He has been sought out by the media and as a speaker for his knowledge and insights. His expertise in understanding the challenges that CFOs face and the needs of companies hiring them allows him to assist his clients with hiring the most appropriate Chief Financial Officer and other senior financial executives.
