4.2.9 Rogowski Coil
The special kind of helical coil sensor uniformly wound
on a relatively long nonmagnetic circular or rectangu-
lar strip, usually exible (Figure 4.35), is commonly
known as the Rogowski coil, after the description
given by Rogowski and Steinhaus in 1912 (Rogowski
and Steinhaus 1912). In certain applications, this coil,
known as Rogowski–Chattock potentiometer RCP, is used
