So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

It is perhaps all too fashionable to begin discussions such as this one by subjecting the title to some species of semantic analysis designed to dispel any undesired subconscious motivations which it may evoke among the readership. Nonetheless, however hackneyed it may seem, it is absolutely essential to begin this particular discussion with the rhetorical inquiry: What is the “comparative analysis of organizations”? It is necessary to do so simply because there are a number of possible defensible answers to this question, and considerations of space and time demand that the discussion be limited to only some of them.
