So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Keeping DOM access to a minimum
DOM access is an expensive operation, and we need to reduce it as much as we can to avoid our page from dying. Try caching the DOM elements once they are accessed in some local variables or leverage virtual DOM, which is more efficient, as it batches all the DOM changes and dispatches them all together.
