R is an open source software, and all you need to do is download a copy in your local system and install it as needed. It includes the best supporting IDE called RStudio, which we have implemented throughout this book. There is one more IDE, namely Architect, which can be used on a trial and error basis for users to experiment with something new.
R is pretty straightforward when it comes to its installation procedure and there are binaries available for all operating systems from the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN), at https://cran.r-project.org/. This feature is quite unique, as R does not limit itself to one operating system.
