So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Statistical hypothesis in R
A statistical hypothesis is an assumption, or rather a presumption, made by the researcher about the data that is collected in relation to an experiment. This assumption does not have to be true every time. Hypothesis testing works only to validate the data.
Statistical hypotheses are categorized into two major types, and these are listed as follows:
- Null hypothesis: Where tests are used to check the validity of a particular claim. It is denoted as Ho.
- Alternative hypothesis: Where the null hypothesis concluded is usually considered to be untrue.
