So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting started with Apache Spark and Azure Databricks
In this walk-through, we will start to explore Azure Databricks. A key step in the process is to set up an instance of Azure Databricks, and this is covered here:
- Log in to the Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com/).
- Select + Create a resource | Analytics | Azure Databricks.
- In the Azure Databricks Service dialog, provide the workspace configuration.
- Workspace name:
- Enter a name for your Azure Databricks workspace
- Subscription:
- Select your Azure subscription
- Resource group:
- Create a new resource group (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/resource-group-overview) or use an existing one
- Location:
