Global distribution is an available option that deals with the global reach of your application. If you are planning to make your application globally available and you expect to have the same latency in each market, it is possible to select Geo-Reduncy to allow distribution on multiple regions. Once the Cosmos DB resource is created, this can be done using the Replicate data globally blade:
